To obtain a bartending license in the state of Delaware, you must complete a Responsible Server Training approved by the State of Delaware. This training can be accessed online and is offered by approved providers such as the Delaware Restaurant Association and eTIPS. The training covers topics such as how alcohol affects the body, checking IDs, recognizing signs of intoxication, preventing over-service, and understanding the Delaware Liquor Control Act. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate that works in the same way as the server cards issued by Delaware Alcohol & Tobacco Enforcement (D.A.T.E.) officers.
