As of January 1, 2024, the minimum wage in Chicago, IL is $15.80 per hour for employers with 21 or more workers, $15.00 per hour for employers with 4 to 20 workers, and $9.00 (or $9.48 for larger employers) for tipped workers. 

Employers must ensure tipped employees receive the full minimum wage when tips are included. The minimum wage for City contracts or concessionaire agreements is $16.80 per hour, with a special rate of $8.80 for tipped concessionaire employees.
